The Vessel
On board the SEAHANDS, we
have the most experienced crew and captains in the area and they
know how to find fish. 25-40 marlin strikes a day are common
as well as multiple hookups. Expect to catch striped marlin to
300 lbs. Blue marlin average 400 lbs with much larger ones hooked
and black marlin average 450 lbs with some going close to 1000
lbs. Pete Santini personally rigged the SEAHANDS, a 33
foot Ocean Master with brand new 200hp 4 stroke yamaha outboards,
outriggers, 8 rod holders, fighting chair, Raymarine L1250 pathfinder,
chartplotter, GPS, sonar, fishfinder, Paines Wessex EPIRB, 2
VHF radios and a long distance cellphone with aerial antennae
that can call the USA. The SEAHANDS is a fish raising
machine. A typical charter leaves the dock at 4:30 am and returns
between 4:00 and 5:00 pm.
We supply lunch on board and usually
consists of ceviche, ham, cheese, chips, snacks, pineapple, watermelon
and cold sodas and water as well as sashimi if we get a yellowfin
or a wahoo. We have an inverter on board so we can cook rice,
make coffee etc. We have a bathroom on board. The berth sleeps
3 people with no problem, We have all the best fishing tackle
available on the SEAHANDS; accurate Penn and Shimano reels
as well as Seeker Shimano and Penn international rods. We have
a great supply of proven marlin lures that will tear them up.
